A mental framework based on a misconception, framework that influences an individual's thoughts and self-image. This shadow over thought creates a false perception of weakness, unworthiness, and emotional detachment.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Anorexia \u2013 like other severe conditions in body and mind \u2013 does not originate in feelings.
It is the result of negative consciousness,
a force that influences the individual not through emotion, but as a shadow over thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Negative consciousness is not a feeling of rejection,
but rather a distortion in the structure of conceptualization.
It is not an emotion \u2013 it is a field of distorted thought,
where false assumptions, misconceptions, prejudices and even lies take root.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Baruch Spinoza writes in his brilliant work "On the Improvement of the Understanding" – Tractatus de Intellectus <\/a><\/strong>Emendation<\/strong>e,<\/a> there are different levels
of conceptual clarity \u2013
from precise and true, to shallow, mistaken, and misleading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the influence of negative consciousness,
a person sees themselves, their body, and life itself through a veil of distortion.
They may believe they are unworthy, that their body is \u201cimpure,\u201d
that life is dangerous, untrustworthy, or meaningless.
This leads to physical self-denial, collapse of will, or emotional detachment from abundance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This affects boys as well.
A distorted sense of masculinity \u2013 also rooted in this shadow-field \u2013
may push them into dangerous behaviors that put their lives at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effective healing does not come from analyzing emotions.
Trying to \u201cunderstand feelings\u201d often leads nowhere.
The real path to change lies in refining conceptual clarity.
We must train the person to identify the shadow,
and shine light on it \u2013 through precise and accurate thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only when thought becomes clear,
only when a new, clean, shadow-free language is formed \u2013
can true healing begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
